Barbeque Nation started their journey sometime in the mid-2006 with the concept of do-it-yourself (DIY) cuisine involving the live-grill on the table for the foodies to have the joy of grilling. This year being their 10th anniversary, they&#8217;ve decided to extend to potential areas which they&#8217;d missed earlier. As a part of this expansion, they&#8217;ve opened a new outlet in West Gate Mall, Rajajinagar &#8211; a place within the reach of our neighborhood. We got an invite to witness the inauguration of the outlet with the Disco King Bappi Lahiri starting off the live grill and performing the Disco Barbecue and a couple of other songs to entertain the crowd.<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lifeonplates\/24602913003\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"bnr (16)\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1676\/24602913003_852dce13d7_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"654\" alt=\"bnr (16)\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lifeonplates\/24599035644\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"bnr (10)\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1504\/24599035644_5bd364aabb_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" alt=\"bnr (10)\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>When asked what Bappi Lahiri feels about Barbeque Nation, this is what he had to say &#8211; &#8220;I am passionate about food and particularly enjoy barbeques. I think Barbeque Nation captures the essence of a barbeque quite well \u2013 not just the delicious smoky flavour of food grilled over charcoals, but also the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that accompanies barbeque parties everywhere. I am sure that this outlet, like others across the country, will appeal to food lovers of Bengaluru.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lifeonplates\/25231833565\/in\/dateposted-public\/\" title=\"bnr\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1714\/25231833565_493dbd5773_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"685\" alt=\"bnr\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>We started our meal with quite a good appetizers. Virgin mojito, lime soda and Alphonso mango-flavoured iced tea. The iced tea tasted really good.<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lifeonplates\/24601214894\/in\/dateposted\/\" title=\"bnr (20)\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1622\/24601214894_ec3036a0db_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"890\" alt=\"bnr (20)\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The unlimited buffet consists of a long list of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Starters like Pasta Steak with Sweet Chilly Sauce, Coastal Barbeque Fish and Fried Chicken Wings in Schezwan Sauce deserve a special mention.<br \/>\nMediterranean Chicken which was well marinated and grilling just makes it a good try! Kalmi Kebab is a leg piece cooked in special kebab masala, a good start along with the barbecue skewers.<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lifeonplates\/25231876895\/in\/photostream\/\" title=\"bnr (21)\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1593\/25231876895_c7360c7310_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"443\" alt=\"bnr (21)\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>For veg starters we had spicy potato and crispy corn chilli pepper. Crispy corn being our all time favorite. It was perfectly fried and tasted just right on our taste buds.<br \/>\nApart from this, live grill on the table added to the list of starters. Mix-veggies, pineapple, mushroom, corn, cottage cheese were on the skewers.<\/p>\n<p><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lifeonplates\/24864202869\/in\/photostream\/\" title=\"bnr (22)\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1625\/24864202869_14248df5cf_b.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"453\" alt=\"bnr (22)\"><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The main course has a number of mouth-watering dishes ranging from Corn Mushroom and Mutter Tamatar to West Coast Fish Curry and Roasted Chicken in demi glaze sauce. They offer Hyderabadi Vegetarian Dum Biryani and Kadai Paneer too. We had a wide range of desserts to munch on. We tried few cold cakes , caramel pudding, malai phirni, gulab jamoon and gajar-ka-halwa with vanilla ice cream. Interesting thing here was the LIVE KULFI COUNTER. We got to witness many varieties being served as we were in the queue. Tasted the chef&#8217;s choice kulfi. Kesar badam kulfi diced into equal pieces with condensed milk and rooh-afza on it. The Rajajinagar outlet can accommodate up to 128 people. Live-Grill on each table is a great way to keep any foodie excited. There\u2019s live music square.
