Absolute Barbecue – 8th FBAB Meetup!

By

Our first visit to Absolute Barbecue, and this was as invitees for the 8th FBAB Meetup. We had heard a lot of good things about the outlet in Marathalli. So with same hopes we visited this outlet with many great foodie friends. Nevertheless, it reached our expectations and yes, we were happy with their service. This restaurant offers nothing more than a solid buffet. This place is like none other, offering an unlimited buffet on restaurant-wide dishes, no restrictions at all.

For veg starters, we had Vietnamese Grill, Mediterranean Mushroom and Paneer Rawal Pindi on the Live Grill. Veg Soup, American Cheesy Potato and Caramelized Pineapple were served separately.

For non-veg starters, we were served Chilli Garlic Fish, Schezwan Prawns and Caribean Jerk Chicken on the Live Grill. Chicken Soup, Mutton Seekh Kabab, Rabbit, Duck, Quail and Shark separately.

On the veg main course list, they offered veg Dum Biryani, Corn Cheese Kofta, Achari Aloo, Bendi Fry, Dal Makani, Thai curry and few more options of curries with Plain Rice. Each recipe had a unique taste. We enjoyed the main course food. Except for the veg soup, everything else was pretty good in terms of taste.

On the non-veg main course list, they offered Chicken Biryani, Srilankan Shrimp Curry and a Fish Curry. Buns and Rotis were served common to both, along with the above-mentioned dishes. The Srilankan Shrimp Curry was simply amazing, and it went great with rice and biryani. The soup, however, had too much of garlic.

The desserts were one of the best which offered a lot of choices. We tried Phirnee, Paan Icecream, Pineapple Delight, Coconut Flan Celebration Pastry and Angoor Jamun.

The ambiance is one of the best. Live-Grill on each table is a great way to keep foodie excited. There’s live music at all times and the singer is amazing! They use plates with green/black colored stem to differentiate between veg/non-veg to avoid confusion. They refill the grill constantly and you won’t feel empty at any moment. The place gets crowded easily, so it’s recommended to have a reservation. The staff and management are friendly. If you use Google Maps, it shows directions to the back entrance of the building and it’s located on the 2nd floor. Thanks for the invite, Chef BB and Naveen Suresh 🙂
